How to book a hotel in Ciudad Bolívar without a credit card
· 5 min read

You do not need a card to hold a room in Ciudad Bolívar. Bank transfer, Pago Móvil or cash on arrival — how each one works, and what to have ready so the booking is confirmed in a single conversation.
Yes, you can: at Hotel Laja City you book and pay without a credit or debit card. We accept national bank transfer, Pago Móvil and cash on arrival, and we send the payment details over WhatsApp at +58 414 8995993 once we confirm your reservation.
That is the whole answer. What follows is the practical detail — what happens first, what happens next, and what to have ready before you write, so the room is held in one exchange rather than three.
Why payment works this way
In Venezuela, most day-to-day commerce runs on Pago Móvil and transfers between national banks rather than on card terminals. For a guest this is usually an advantage: confirmation is immediate, nothing is held against a card limit, and no foreign-currency charge turns up weeks later.
The point is to know it before you reach the desk. A traveller who assumes they will pay by card and finds out otherwise at eleven at night has an avoidable problem.
The three payment methods we accept
- National bank transfer. The usual route if you hold an account with a Venezuelan bank. We send the account details when we confirm your booking.
- Pago Móvil. Fast, straight from your phone. We give you the number, the ID or RIF and the bank to pay into.
- Cash on arrival. Paid at the front desk during check-in. Our desk is staffed 24 hours, so this also covers arrivals in the small hours.
We do not process credit or debit cards from any bank or network. We would rather say so plainly on the website than at the desk.

The process, step by step
1. Pick your dates and room at hotellajacity.com. When you fill in your details you get a booking reference immediately.
2. We message you on WhatsApp at +58 414 8995993 to confirm availability and send payment details. You can also write to us first, or email reservashotelc@gmail.com.
3. Choose how to pay: transfer, Pago Móvil, or cash on arrival.
4. If you pay in advance, send the receipt through the same WhatsApp chat. That message is your record and ours.
5. At check-in, from 2:00 p.m., all that is left is to show your ID.
Keep the whole WhatsApp thread. It is the simplest record of what was booked, for how many nights and at what rate.
If you are travelling from abroad
If you do not hold an account with a Venezuelan bank, the most direct route is to arrange cash payment on arrival and hold the room over WhatsApp in advance. Write to us with your dates before you buy the flight and we will confirm availability; for busy periods, allow several weeks.
If you need a different arrangement, ask us on WhatsApp before you travel rather than assuming — it is a two-minute conversation that prevents a surprise.
If the trip is for work
Medical sales reps, technicians and company representatives staying several nights usually need documentation for expenses. Tell us when you book, not when you leave: the front desk will explain what we can issue and what details we need, so it is ready in time.
For recurring visits or stays of several weeks we can hold the same room each trip and settle the whole stay in one payment.
What the rate already includes
Worth knowing before you compare prices: parking, WiFi, cable television on a smart TV and complimentary afternoon coffee are included in every rate, with nothing added at the end. Rooms have air conditioning, a private bathroom and a direct-dial telephone. Our five room types run from USD 60 to USD 75 a night.
And to avoid any confusion: Hotel Laja City is on Avenida Bolívar at the corner of Avenida Táchira, in Ciudad Bolívar, Bolívar state. It is an independent hotel and is not connected to Hotel Laja Real, a different hotel in the city with a similar name. Our official website is hotellajacity.com, and booking there means booking direct, with no intermediary commission.
